About Me

I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for over 30 years and still love what I do!
My Story

THIS IS ART.  That was my first thought back in 1991 after being introduced to rubber stamps at a small craft fair in Stillwater, Minnesota. It was Thanksgiving weekend, and I had hauled my three young children, my baby boy barely two months old, to the local VA to see what I could find. What I found was a career, and a passion for rubberstamping that has lasted three decades.

Embossed cards were what made me pause at the booth; the texture, the color, and the beautiful designs drew me in. How could she do so many different things with the same image? I had to know, so I spoke with the demonstrator at the booth and insisted she teach me.

The following Friday I gathered a few friends and had my first workshop. I had no idea what to expect, but as soon as she taught embossing, I was hooked. I loved the product, and I loved the company. It is so hard to be truly creative when you have three small children and zero time. Stampin’ Up! offered me a wonderful way to express myself through their product.

The demonstrator who recruited me left the business a month after I joined, though it hardly mattered to me. I was passionate about my work, and I forged ahead each time my husband’s job relocated us, rebuilding my business and finding other women like me who understood the valuable experience Stampin’ Up! offers. My baby boy is in his 30s now with a family of his own.   I still find myself excited when a new product is introduced, and I still, believe that rubberstamping is art. Art.
